AI is impacting our lives on a granular level, from the applications we use on our phones and laptops to the products that we buy. Technology professionals are at the forefront of AI developments, thus are the first who can embrace (or show resistance) if they don’t feel bought in. However, it’s clear to see that tech professionals must adapt their skill sets so they can thrive in the digital age.
AI has positively impacted many areas of business and our personal lives. From software that makes the day-to-day of our jobs easier, through to intellectual tech that we can use within our homes, on the whole, AI is seen as a help rather than a hindrance. When looking at AI through the lens of D&I, many positives can be drawn. However, there are still concerns about how effective AI can be against bias.
We’ve all done a Google search on AI at some point in our lives, and the above three are common questions we’ve probably asked ourselves - and for good reason. Artificial Intelligence is revolutionising how we operate on a day-to-day basis, from the products we buy through to the systems we use. AI is considered new, and new also means unknown, we are well within our rights to question the ethical implications of Artificial Intelligence.
